Spring Fever Anyone?

It’s the first day of SPRING! Being from Maryland I’ve flipped a few times on what my favorite time of year is. Summer always jumps out as the easy winner, but lately I’ve been thinking about how much spring represents to me. New beginnings, longer days after the winter. The lovely sound of peepers on my runs, flowers popping up through all of the dull dead leaves green grass, and the urge to clean up and organize my spaces!
Spring may be the best season because it’s a time to begin anew. Smell the flowers, open the windows and enjoy what the new season has given.

It’s time to change the heavy comforter, switch out the flannel sheets, pull forward the warmer weather clothing, open the shades, clean the windows and floors and let the light breeze in.
The sights and sounds, from the emergence of flowers to the chirping of Peepers, evoke a sense of rejuvenation and vitality.

Spring cleaning, can indeed feel like a daunting task, especially if clutter has accumulated over the winter months. However, breaking it down into smaller, manageable tasks can make it more approachable. Starting with one room at a time or focusing on specific areas of clutter can help prevent you from getting overwhelmed.

Additionally, embracing the mindset of decluttering and simplifying can be empowering. Letting go of items that no longer serve a purpose or bring joy can create a sense of lightness and space in your home.

Remember to take breaks, stay hydrated, and reward yourself for each task completed. And as you open the windows to let in the fresh spring air and sunlight, take a moment to appreciate the progress you’ve made and the new energy flowing into your home. Happy spring cleaning!
